With a focus on racial inclusion the KY Cultural Organizing Learning Exchange brought together artists, activists, advocates, & educators from across Kentucky in Bowling Green. The Learning Exchange was presented by Arts & Democracy, Kentucky Foundation for Women and Alternate ROOTS. Additional partners included Appalshop, Art of the Rural, Kentuckians for the Commonwealth, Step up for Racial Justice (SURJ), and Western KY University Folk Studies and Alive Center.

Louisville SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice): workshop on organizing white people to work for racial justice in Kentucky, including regional responses

What is Policy and How Does It Affect Me?  Caron Atlas and Kathie deNobriga of Arts & Democracy, including local examples

Southeast Community College (Cumberland, KY): students and community members present tools and methods for building a community-based theatre performance addressing local concerns
